We purchased these for our preschool class. They did some really cute decorating and were displayed at open house. We liked the size of them for our little kid's hands as they had more space than the small people. We liked them so much we bought more. This year we would like to do them twice to compare at the beginning of the year and then end. Great purchase! The only thing I would love is if they made plain clothes that the children could decorate.
Great resource
I purchase these every year for my kindergarten students. We use this for our All About Me unit. They are a great size and offer a variety of skin colors to represent all students.

All About Me Theme
I love these large size people cut outs! They are the perfect size for my 3-4 year old students. The various colors is also awesome. The students can pick which one looks like their skin color.

Great for diversity
Their skin tone people are great for our kindergarten social studies unit! Being able to have the students choose the cut out that looks mostly like them gives them a sense of ownership! They also are a teacher time saver! I will order every year!

Great for little hands doing big things.
The jumbo people shapes are perfect for little ones. They feel that they can do big things, and they can. They can create themselves, someone else, or, an imaginary friend. They can decorate any way that they like.
Perfect for hands-on learning
I'm a secondary school teacher and use the jumbo people shapes to help students understand literary characterization. My students select a character from their chosen novel and dress the shape to reflect the character's personality. In addition, they have to write a character profile based on quotes taken from the novel. The one year I didn't do this activity, I heard complaints from the students. Great product.
Great for Pre-k and Kindergarten
This is a great introductory activity to the new school year for early childhood grades. You can read books and discuss how we are all alike and all different. At the end of the unit the children can select a person and decorate it using many other materials from Lakeshore to create themselves. When the children were finished I created a world and taped the finished children around it and hung it up on the door. To this day I still get rave reviews about the children's artwork!

perfect for arts and crafts
my kids love to decorate these fun people shapes. all you need are some paper scraps and other misc. art supplies to create some really great people. sometimes we use fabric scraps to create more realistic clothing. sticker shapes are also great as they are convenient to place on the body to create patterns of clothing, buttons, etc. they are also very sturdy and thick so they stand up to glue, paint, buttons and other wet or heavy craft items.

Fun for "All About Me" activities
We used a variety of materials to decorate these for "All About Me". The different shades of color were perfect for students to create "themselves". They got to share why they put different things on "themselves" afterwards!
A real imagination key
My daughter first brought home one of these people shapes from pre-K. It was wonderful that she and all her friends had a paperdoll that they custom made to look LIKE THEM. She asked for the set the next time we were at Lakeshore. She went through one set creating 24 very well decorated people. I gave her scraps of fabric and other baubles and ribbons. We're on our second set of these. Her friends came over and they spent the entire morning creating more of these paper dolls. It's a great way to unlock the imagination!
