Cheap plastic
These look cute but are actually dull and cheap plastic. Much worse than the sticks that come with the paper.

I should have read this more thoroughly. It is just the tools and doesn't include any paper. For the price, I would have thought at least a few pieces of colored paper would be included, but now have to buy it separate. Would order from the store again, but shipping charges were high.

Great fun for our 3-year-old
We bought these to add to art supplies for our 10 grandchildren. Our 3-year-old who loves to paint was the first to try them out. She enjoyed trying out each of the tools that we bought separately as she experimented with them. She enjoyed producing fun colors with her usual scribbles. A minor caution: She went through several of the sheets within just a few minutes, but she took them home to continue her artistic endeavors. We'll see how our 5 and 7-year-olds respond at Christmas. A slight downside is that the black that comes off is a bit messy, so be aware that it needs to be dealt with.

Not my favorite tool
I thought these would be a fun addition to the scratch paper, but honestly they were a bit dull and took a significant amount of effort to work. Older children may be able to use them successfully, but younger children struggle to apply the consistent and even pressure that is needed to make these tools work. I preferred to just use the regular scratch tool that came with the scratch paper.
