I definitely recommend these blocks, especially if your child has a habit of throwing things. Since they are foam, they are safe if thrown. The faux wood is an attractive touch. They are fairly large so kids can build high without a ton of effort. Yes, they come at a cost which I thought was high initially but I'm glad that we bought them anyway.
