This is a great starter set of unit blocks when looking for blocks for an initial classroom set up. I purchased these for my grandchildren to play with at my house and have also purchased them for our preschool program.

Our 5 year old grandson has spent so many fun filled hours constructing with his hardwood blocks. A definite hit this Christmas and well worth the expense!!! The blocks came in a timely manner and were well packaged. I am so happy we bought this for him!

I bought this set of blocks 32 years ago and we are now using them with my grandchildren. My children, grandchildren, godchildren and all the neighborhood kids have created unbelievable buildings with these - no technology, not a DVD or TV show just plain innovativw, cooperative play for young people. Amazing.

these blocks are an essential learning tool I am a GRANDMOTHER and keep the blocks at my house and the grandkids head right for them each time they visit. They will outlast any other toy and will be there for my great grandchildren.

These blocks are sturdy, relatively heavy and frankly, I believe the 50 year warrantee claim. There are a lot of blocks in this set, so think about where you will store them, especially if this is for home use. The set includes a nice array of block sizes and shapes, to include some rather long ones that resemble a small 2x4. My two boys can build some quite amazing things with this set!

I taught preschool for over 20 years and knew that I wanted blocks for my 2 year old that would stand the test of time. These are the best school quality blocks out there. I was worried at first when I saw the boxes because they were small, but they contained a perfect assortment of sizes and shapes for my daughter to start with. My six year old enjoys building with them as well. I look forward to adding additional shaped blocks to this set as the kids play develops. Thanks lakeshore

We bought the starter set for our oldest son about 8 years ago. All three of our children have enjoyed oodles of hours of play and creativity and now my preschool students are enjoying them. These blocks are worth every penny. From their weight, durability, equal "units" and size and shape variety. I wouldn't bother buying a less expensive brand or set.

Very safe and sturdy design. I like the selection of all the different shapes. My students spend all their time at the block center because of these blocks!
