These are so much nicer than block play people I had ordered from another website- very well made. Preschoolers love playing with these in the blocks center.

Wooden block play is a favorite for my kids, and now they can build houses and more for this sweet little family! They especially love the baby and toddler figurines.

Ive used these in all 5 PreK classes Ive taught and feel they are the best, especially all the multicultural families.

I bought this family for my son and was so pleased to see it online. When it arrived, however, the complexion of the figures were much darker than advertised online and on the box. They are almost as dark as their hair. We are African American and I don't know one family with that skin color and even if so not everyone from grandpa to baby are the same complexion. Before I could return then my son found them and LOVES them. He's three so it doesn't matter to him. Just saying after these sell out Lakeshore needs to consult with or focus group with African Americans to make sure the figures are culturally representative...especially for these loving, caring, AWESOME folks who have commented below about wanting their children/grandchildren to have African American people represented in their playset. KUDOS to Lakeshore for the offering and I will be purchasing all of the other families for my son.

I bought this for my Granddaughter. I built 2 dollhouses for her and she said she wanted a family. So, in searching I came across Lakeshore and find that the product is exactly what would work. They are durable and have no problems with standing up. She has them in her dollhouse, and has identified who's who. This is perfect for her to play with.

This product demonstrates great multicultural competence for those clinicians and therapist working with diverse clients. The product is made of a high-quality, sturdy material that will withstand rough handling of all kinds of end-users of play therapy. I highly recommend this product.

This set is a very accurate depiction of our family. The figures range from the very young ( we have a four month old) to the ederly ( his grandfather). The set will certainly foster his imaginative play. I am so pleased and I know my grandchildren will be also. Thank you for being so thoughtful in creating this black family.
