Homeschooled kids ages 3 to 12

April 28, 2024 - By Sarinafrom SANFORD, FL

I purchased this cube in April of 2024 through FL's Step Up program for my homeschooled kiddos. While I did look at measurements before ordering, it was larger in person once assembled than I was expecting, in a good way. All four of my kids, ages 3, 7, 9, and 12, enjoy this cube! They've turned it into a cute little space with blankets and a lamp and a book basket. I've ordered the blue mat, but even without the mat, the cube works great (honestly not sure if the mat is even necessary, but decided to give it a shot). My handy 12 year old son was able to assemble this on his own easily and quickly with a drill. My petite 9 year old daughter can sit straight up in the cube's center with a couple inches between her head and the top, and when she lounges with the pillow behind her back there's about 5-6 inches between her head and the top (I think she's around 4ft tall, maybe a smidge taller). They're using it for reading AND creative play, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Overall, this is sturdy and well made and will hold up for years in our home. I can definitely see this lasting a long time in a classroom setting, as well.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Awesome!

May 17, 2023 - By Teacherfrom Spring, TX

We LOVE these!!! This is a sturdy, multi-purpose item. We have teachers use these as reading spots, calm down corners, and more. Two small (pre-K sized) students can fit in this comfortably to read together. I definitely recommend this for any early childhood or early elementary classroom.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Purchased this product for my in-home daycare and the kids LOVE it! Added the blue mat on the bottom and a couple of throw pillows for comfort. Its a nice place to hang out and read a book or play quietly with some stuffed animals. I try to teach the kids to self-regulate, to listen to their bodies if they need to be by themselves for a moment. This provides the perfect place for that. Easy to assemble and set up quickly.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

More like "Everything" cube

August 23, 2012 - By Playcarefrom Morristown, IN

I recently moved my daycare to a new location and wasn't sure that I would have room for this to move with me. I paid close attention one day to see just how often the kids actually used it so that I could decided whether or not to take it with me to the new location or not. I didn't reazlie how often the kids were in this thing! Every child got in it at least once during that day and a several of them were in it more than once. I do have a plastic bin of board books inside but I also have an old steering wheel in there and that draws lots of kids too. We have draped blankets over the openings before to make it more of a tent. Regardless of what things I place into the cube, the kids will find something else to take in there. And that's fine with me... I highly recommend this product.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

A need for a preschool room

December 01, 2011 - By PreschoolTeacherfrom Colorado Springs, CO

It should be required that every preschool room have one of these. Sometimes children need a quiet cozy place to go to in a pres 2 of school classroom. I put 2 tension rods to hold up small curtians on the sides. I added a poster on the back wall, and a blanket and small pillow on the inside. Children often use this area when they just need a break. It is perfect for meeting criteria for a private place.

Yes, I would recommend this product.
