Such a well constructed toy that keeps my 3 year old interested. My family members always buy the most obnoxious, loud, battery- eating toys and I get triggered by noise so easily. For Christmas, I exclusively bought Lakeshore toys including this one. No batteries! No sirens! No music! Very well made! It makes regular plastic clicking and clacking sounds as the kid plays with it and I can handle that. I think the parents complaining about the noise of this truck might be used to quieter toys. I am used to louder one's and this does not bother me. Win.

my son received this from his grandparents for his birthday. its a top toy in our house and we used it to help him to understand the big trucks that come to pick up the trash as well as the importance of taking his own trash and putting it in the trash can.

I got this as a gift for my son a few years ago and he and my daughter both love playing with it but my husband and I have both banned them from playing with it when we’re in the same room with them because of how loud it is.

My 2 year old is obsessed with this toy and even my 7 yesr old loves it.

Grandson love it but make way to much noise when he pushes it fast. Even outside it disturbs the neighbors.

I am a long time fan of lakeshore for my kids. The toys are sturdy, classic and my kids really enjoy them. This recycling truck has been a hit with my 2 year old. However, I was unaware of the amount of noise the toy would make, as different parts move. One of the things I love about lakeshore is the toys are simple and battery free. This was an unfortunate experience for me, and I get overstimulated by noises as a mother to 3, as does my oldest child who is 8. Too late to return it. Really disappointed about the noises of this toy.

This hands-on garbage truck is my 22 month old grandson's FAVORITE toy and has been since the day I gave it to him. I bought it when he was about 15 months old and he grew into it, quickly learning to operate it independently, (including the concept of openning/closing the door in order for the cans to fall out/stay inside) over a couple months. He plays with it every single time he is at my house (3days/week), 2 or 3 times per day. Now that he is walking he has learned to stand and push it, He loves the sounds it makes when it 'goes fast'. I highly recommend this truck!

My children love this garbage truck. They are older (ages 9 and 11), but they still enjoy playing with this. They play together with it, something that doesn't happen with a lot of toys. It really holds up to rough play as well.
