I wanted an astronaut costume for a very tall 3.5 yr old. Most costumes I found online were 1 piece jumpsuits. Knowing this had to be frustration free for an autistic child, this velcro closure jacket was the perfect solution. Also, the helmets of other costumes were full helmets that are so wide to fit over the head that they slide around once the helmet hits the shoulders. This half sized helmet was also just what we needed. He can walk around with it firmly resting on his head. The suit would easily fit children up to 6 yrs and you may have to coerce a child to take it off, as my lil boy did not want to remove it to put on his winter coat! This gift was a hit!

We added this and the robots to our pretend play area of our homeschool playroom. My kids love it! Having interesting dress up/roll play gear is so important for kids growing imaginations! I'm happy with the quality for my rough and tumble kiddos. Bring on dress up time!

My 4 year old granddaughter loves it!

I gave my granddaughter the costume for her third birthday. She is large for her age and it fits fine. She also uses it as a pretend welder's mask. She likes her parents to dress up with her. If her mom doesn't participate enthusiastically enough, she hits her mom with the helmet. Obviously, it is sturdy and holds up to rough play. Her mom asks my son, "Why did your mom give her these weapons?" (Smile.) The little girl is really enjoying role playing.

This astronaut costume is the best one out there! It is well made and will last! I just retired from teaching Pre School and I can tell you from my experience the children REALLY have a great time with this costume in dramatic play. It's easy for them to put on and take off by themselves (velcro) and they truly enjoy pretending they are in outta space!! I purchased it for my Grandson who is 3 1/2 and he will be so happy when he gets this gift!
