Great game

May 09, 2023 - By Jennifer Megyesifrom Phoenix, AZ

I played this game with my 2nd, 4th, and 6th graders. Despite being at different reading levels, they all enjoyed it. The game itself doesn't take long to set up or play. The reading passages are cute and engaging.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Helps teach main ide

January 22, 2019 - By B Hatfieldfrom Lower Yukon, Alaska

A fun but slow-paced game for my third-graders. The passages are slightly above their reading ability. The upside is that, just like playing a better tennis partner improves one's game, Main Street Shopping will do the same for their reading skills, giving them a better understanding of main idea.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Main Idea is Child's Play

October 20, 2016 - By FunTeachfrom St. Petersburg, Fl

My third grade students love playing this game to learn how to determine the main idea of a very short passage. I use it for a center during ELA block and the kids like it so much they also play it when we have indoor recess.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Enjoyable

November 23, 2011 - By travelingteacherfrom Lawton, OK

This teaches more skills than it says! Kids had to strategize where they wanted to go and how to get there before someone else took the item they wanted to buy. It also teaches them prioritizing. It was really fun to play, and it doesn't get old or monotonous.

Yes, I would recommend this product.
