Too restrictive
My kids ages 3 and 6 didn't like playing this game. There were many restrictions from word list to win game but that is part of fun. Unfortunately they didn't understand this. They only enjoyed rolling the dice but we will hold for when they are older and can wait long enough to write actual words from list.

Perfect game for phonemic awareness
This is a great game to help kids with spelling, reading, blending and building words, and phonemic awareness.

Fun for all
Whether you are teaching children how to read or helping children with phonics skills, this game really helps and the children love playing it. It is so exciting to see their faces as they form words and can read the beginning blends.

Roll & Write Word Game
Good game. Have had it for many years. Room for improvement. The dice lettering rubs off after a while.

The Best Phonics Game Ever...
This is a wonderfully comprehensive phonics game to play with beginning readers. The different colored dice allow for differentiation of instruction/application - the red dice have mostly single letter onset and the blue dice have more complex belnds/digraphs. My students always cheer when I bring this game out to play with them. Love it!

Perfect for dyslexic children
I bought this game to break up the drills of word combos, letter sounds, non-sense words we do daily. My daughter is 9 and struggles with severe dyslexia and ADHD so laying or hopping around on the floor is perfect and makes these lessons so much more fun. Even when the word is not on the list they give we venture into Webster and learn definitions of words that we would never have known. Like "soke" is the head of the family in Japan.

Great learning, poor manufacturing
This is a great product for small groups practicing their blending of beginning consonants with long and short vowels. The corner of the box ripped and the black markers stopped working after one light use. Just be warned that the product itself isn't too sturdy, though the concepts are great.

Fun while educational
Love this. It's fun and keeps the children interested, while they are learning at the same time.

middle readers
Found the directions to be a little difficult for first and second graders, but struggling third and fourth graders loved it.

Builds confidence in their reading/spelling!
My kids 7 & 10 enjoy playing this game. It's also fun to make up new games, such as, "How many words/rhymes can you come up with?". For example, the die falls on "__ick" (sick, tick, stick, pick, etc.).

Good Phonics Game
The directions were a little hard for my students to follow, so we had to tweak the rules but my students enjoy playing. Also, the write and wipe boards have not held up too well and I've had my students use regular whiteboards instead. Overall, a good game to help students with phonics skills.
