These mats are great and they are the perfect size for small groups. I do wish that it was a set of 5 because some years I had to have small groups of 5. I ended up ordering another set so I would have enough and then have some extra letters. I do wish the letters were more durable. It seems more students are rough with classroom items nowadays. I do like that the uppercase letter I is made the correct way. My old original letter kit from a different company just had a straight line for the letter I.

The red of the color board is more of an orange and not as matching as I would like or expected. Product its self is perfect.

i love the instant centers from lakeshore! this one is great for my students to independently work on while i pull small groups. wish the letters were plastic for extra durability, but love how they are color coded to the mats.

I was bummed to see the letters were the foam letters. I have other learning centers from a few years ago and the letters are thick plastic that lasts. Usually Lakeshore materials are quality but this is not good quality for the money.

The foam letters are very nice for students to hold in their hands and manipulate and place on the alphabet boards. I didn't give 5 stars because the drawstring bags, although nice quality fabric, don't stay closed and letters fall out easily.

This is the perfect center for students to practice the order of the alphabet while also recognizing letters and the position of them.

My grandchildren love these, there are so many ways to them!

I wanted to love this center however once I started to open the box I realized that the foam letters were not sturdy. I'm not sure how long they will last. I expected a bit more quality from LakeShore.

I bought this for my kindergarten students to learn letter recognition. My son in PreK saw this and instantly became obsessed matching the letters and staying so focused. I ended up buys two of them! Highly recommend!

There are some really great things about this center--I love that it's colored, so it's easily separated. I also like that it has both capital and lowercase letters included. The letters, however, seem really cheap. I laminated the mats, so they don't bend. I hope this center lasts as long as my many, many other Lakeshore products I have in my Pre-K classroom!

This center provides great practice and I love that the mats, letters, and bags are color coordinated.

I use this at the beginning of the year with all my students. We play it like a game and see who can match all the letters first! They love it!
