I thought this would be actual activities - fun, interesting, creative things to do. It's just a workbook of letters and numbers like you would find in a drug store.

This is a really excellent book, I truly recommend it!!

I love that this is set up to complete in only 20 days (as thats about what we have left of summer). It would also be easy to spread this out. Im only 2 days in and find it appropriate for my rising first grader. There are easy tasks like writing numbers to 50 and more challenging tasks like reading a paragraph and answering questions. Already she has learned something new with a task requiring her to label verbs with now, past, and future, which was a new concept for her that she was able to pick right up on.

Perfect go along with the online Kindergarten to first grade transition activities provided by her school. Tear out pages that you can grade, attach stars and work on together or solo. Matches the type of work done in her class and provides paper and pencil extension to the online lessons the teacher posts.

This was great in helping the kids remember over the summer break.
