We purchased these workbooks for our 4 year old grandson. He did tease us though when say we were at the BED card, and he knew the word BED was being looked for, and he would say PILLOW, which was also in the BED picture, and then just smile! The workbooks are sturdy, quality products.
Great preschool activity for practicing word families.

I love this game in concept, however, in practicality this game doesn't get much use from my students. Additionally, clean-up for this game isn't as simple due to the labels being removable. I do like this game allowing students to practice their segmenting and blending skills.
It's perfect. First round with pictures, then without by simply holding 3 fingers over the visuals. It's that easy to do.

Helps with distance learning
I bought these for my kids since we have started distance learning at their school. It has helped with continuing what they have learned at school. The box that was sent to me had a typographical error so I called customer service and they sent a replacement right away! Best customer service! We are definitely going to order more stuff from their website. Thank you to Candice (customer service) who resolved the issue and wrote a very sincere note enclosed with the replacement item.

Convenient for preschool articulation therapy
I love the Change-A-Sound Flip Books for preschool articulation therapy in this way: The initial sound flip books work for maximal contrasting pairs and phonological process therapy on Initial Consonant Deletion and Initial Voicing. The medial sound flip books work for correct vowel practice. The final sound flip books work for phonological process therapy on Final Consonant Deletion.

Well received gift
Sent this to my 3yr old granddaughter who is just beginning to sound out words. Big hit! Her father, my son, loved a word builder just like this, and it did not surprise me that his little girl is a fan.

Change-a-sound flip books
These flip books were excellent. I wish there was some way to finally flip the cards without the picture and only the letters and word appeared.

A great set of flip books!
Another great product from Lakeshore. I LOVE these! Unlike the other reviews, what I liked about these was they had a picture on each word. You can easily cover the picture with a piece of paper or even your hand... But I like they have the picture to help give the clue if my daughter needs it. I would recommend the word family flip books if you want them without pictures, those books only have a picture on the first word flip. I have both sets. These are very sturdy, easy to flip and hold up very well. My daughter's speech therapist was using them with her and so I went and bought a set and I love them. I use them for my rhyming activities too. They are on sale now and what a deal. Even at full price they are worth every penny. I would definitely recommend for phonics, rhyming and early reading skills. The box says ages 4 and up and that is when I bought them for my daughter.

Great for repetition & learning cvc
I have several learners who are struggling & for them having the pictures on them has helped build a success. I agree with the other reviewer who said she covers the pictures. I have used paint chips once the kids have worked with them for awhile & know they are using the pics as a clue (which is a reading strategy we've been working on) & then when we are working on sounding out strategy we cover the pics. If anything I wish the pack of words & sounds was larger or there were blank cards to add other words. They seem to be pretty sturdy & have held up with my group.
