Love it! Great for teaching months, the date , days of week and visual of monthly plans that children can look forward to!
Magnetic Calendar
I love this because it’s all magnetic. Kids can not break it as easily as the usual paper calendars. They love pulling the days of the week magnets off the board and putting it where it goes. My only problem was keeping the numbers near the calendar. I put it all in a plastic pencil box and it works just fine, the kids love looking through the box to put the number of the day on the calendar. Strongly recommend!!!!

Stops working after 2 months
I was so excited to have finally found a calendar that is fun and engaging for students. They love participating and coming up to the calendar and sticking on the pieces. Sadly, the days and months stoped sticking to the board. It no longer magnetically sticks. The pieces will stick to the white board, but not to the actual calendar. I am incredibly sad that so much of my own money was spent on this. I would not recommend. It will stop working after a few months. In theory its wonderful, but falls short on the magnetic power.

This is the best calendar I got for my classroom. My students love doing it every day.
Perfect for Young Children
After over 30 years of teaching and earning a Master’s in Early Childhood Education, this is the best calendar I have found for young children. Upon researching and comparing, this calendar checked all of my categories. Looking forward to using it for years to come. Thank you for continuing to provide well thought out learning activities. Also praise to the efficiency of Martha in customer service for helping me with my order. A suggestion, if a parent or teacher would like to make it even more hands-on simply add a small refrigerator magnet (happy face, star etc) to be moved daily to place above the date. Just make sure it is not a choking hazard if there are very young children who might possibly manipulate this add on unsupervised.

Great for homeschool
This calendar is worth every penny to help my homeschooled son learn about months, days, year, seasons, etc. Can stand on its own or be hung on the wall. Folds up nicely too to tuck away. Being magnetic means less lost pieces.

Awesome calander!
We have decided to homeschool our son on the spectrum and we needed something heavy duty because he is rough with his stuff. This calander has exceeded my expectations! We can't wait to start using it in the fall.

Romper Room Style
I bought my first Lakeshore magnetic calendar about 18 years ago and it has been a cherish item for me in my classroom. I bought this second one as my first one had started to show wear after being used for many, many years. I was first attracted to this teaching tool as it reminded me of watching Romper Room as a child. I was fascinated with their magnetic calendar and weather visuals they used to teach kids on tv. I am so glad Lakeshore is still making these calendars available. FYI I am also the person who submitted the chair pocket idea and won 3 rd place in Lakeshore’s 1996 Catalog Great Idea contest. It’s awesome to walk in a classroom using those chair pockets today. Kim Tuttle Daniels

Sturdy!
Used this for a year in the classroom before writing a review. This includes everything that we like to include in our daily calendar activities. I was worried that the larger magnetic labels would break, but they are sturdy enough to withstand daily use by 5-year-olds! Bright and pretty, also easy to clean. Sure beats my homemade calendar and charts!
