Hands on math!

December 02, 2024 - By Nicolefrom Kenmore, WA

I love these 3-d shapes. I’ve used them during our geometry units when teaching 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade over the years. I have 3 sets so every student gets their own. They are small but I think the perfect size since all 8 shapes easily fit in a Ziploc bag and in student desks. Great way to teach names of shapes and identity/touch vertices, edges, and faces!

Yes, I would recommend this product.

3-D geometric shaped

September 01, 2020 - By Lauriefrom Bowie, MD

This product was adequate for distinguishing and teaching shapes. It was somewhat small for the age range that I was targeting, but I was able to adjust my teaching technique to accommodate the small size. We learned colors, patterns, building (fine motor) and we identified the shapes as we were manipulating them. However, I would not choose this product for younger students, strictly because of the size. Otherwise, they were fine. I remembered most of them, but had to research a few, because a guide was NOT included.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

I should have paid more attention to the description . Be aware that Items are very small. They appeared bigger in the picture.

This set of 3-D shapes are perfect for my Kindergarteners. They are just the right size for their little hands to hold and really look at. I have enough for small groups to have a set. I would highly recommend them.

Great for smaller hands

June 07, 2012 - By APrimaryPlacefrom Lakewood WA

I own a licensed childcare and these are great for small hands. They are not for infants though. They are great for gripping, learning, and for sorting. I would buy them again if I had a need for more.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

great manipulatives

December 08, 2011 - By Jannahsmommyfrom Carson CA

This is perfect for 3rd grade. There were enough shapes for my 6 tables (4 kids per table) to work with (each table received 1 of each shape and shared). It's really helpful for the kids to see which shapes roll, stack, etc. and be able to count faces and vertices.

Yes, I would recommend this product.
