my 4 year old was very interested in this toy. It kept him engaged for quite some time. definately recommend getting an extra set of rubber bands.

I bought this for my 4.5 year old and he loves it! He used the cards a handful of times to get the hang of it and then immediately starting creating letters and other shapes independently. I do recommend buying an extra bag of rubber bands as we quickly lost a few and a few were cut with scissors LOL.

Good quality. Big hit with the grandkids, ages 5, 7, and 10. Has different levels for each of them, plus the freedom to design at will.

My 4 y o grandson is very creative, loves math, has an engineer mind, and has a strong ability to visualize and build with his hands. I had geoboards in my 1st grade classroom and they were always a go to gor my kids. I strongly recommend this particular product. I would also recommend you buy an extra bag of rubber elastics.

I just started looking at geo boards to use with my class. I have looked at various online school stores and regular stores. I decided on Lakeshore's geo board set because of the bright pictures, boards and geo band combination. Its was a great decision. The board are very sturdy, the pictures are beautiful and fit exactly. The geo bands are truly extra strong. I am very satisfied with this quality set. Sonja Lee

I read the needs improvement review and was a little nervous about ordering these but we haven't had any problems putting the pattern cards on and off the geoboards. I don't know if they have improved the product since then but the pattern cards go on effortlessly and come off effortlessly and are not torn easily. My 5 and 3 year old have no problem putting the rubber bands on the pegs. This is a great learning tool for learning shapes, measuring area, etc. Perfect.

I bought this geoboard set over others because I felt the colorful background cards would offer more guidance for a preK student who wouldn't otherwise know what to do. However, they surpassed my expectations and are one of the most popular activities ever put out on the math table. When not set out on the math table, but available on a shelf, they are still used and enjoyed on a daily basis. They offer practice with basic and more advanced shapes and are also excellent at developing fine motor control.

Great tool for fine motor skills.

I am very disappointed in this product. Pegs on the board are too short. Holes on the patterns are too small. You have to physically push down on the cards to fit them into the pegboard. It is even harder to peel off the pattern card from the pegboard. Children will tear them very fast. Children will not be able to set up this activity by themselves. Set has 4 pegboards: too many for a home use, and not enough for classroom use.

Gives great direction for a beginner of the Geo board! My kids really like making the designs of each picture and there are a lot of choices.
