Great resources for initial sounds

November 06, 2023 - By Mrs. Beckerfrom New Orleans, LA

Amazing puzzle set. We plan on using them for phonemic awareness centers, allowing student multiple cues that allow them to demonstrate mastery of distinguishing initial sounds of words. Could not ask for higher quality products that are sure to serve our classroom needs for years to come!

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Long vowel sounds?

October 04, 2023 - By Angelafrom FL

I should have looked at the examples more closely. I expected better from a learning company. These puzzles are meant for teaching beginning sounds of the English alphabet. Long vowel sounds have no part in teaching the alphabet sounds. Acorn? Apron? Why not alligator? Ax?

Educational and fun!

September 14, 2021 - By Sarofrom Halifax, VA

My 3 year old grandson loves these puzzles. They are colorful and engaging. A few of them are a little hard to fit back into their spots, due to irregular borders. All in all, I do recommend them. They make learning fun and they pique his interest. You won't regret buying these beautiful puzzles.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

excellent puzzles but rack NOT child user friendly

March 17, 2018 - By DyanEducatorfrom Saskatchewan

My students like using the puzzles, excellent materials. Well made but my students do not like using them because the rack is poorly designed. It is NOT child user friendly. The puzzles slide off it's designated spot and and onto the puzzle below. It causes a domino effect and a couple or more puzzles slide off its base and onto the ones below. My first grade students get frustrated and give up on using the materials due to the poorly designed rack. I ended up making my own shelves using foam core and duct tape. My shelf that I designed works perfectly and no more frustrated children. Puzzles are being used again. I initially used them for begging sounds, but now we use them for spelling, writing, sorting, ending sounds, long and short vowels, and syllables.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Great learning tool for home AND Kindergarten!

January 03, 2016 - By Grahae1from Naples, FL

I love this puzzle for teaching initial letter sounds, word sorts, building vocabulary for my non-English speaking students! I use it in an alphabet center in my kindergarten class and have added ABC books to accompany the puzzles to reinforce our letter sounds for the week! Students love that the word is spelled with each picture! It is sturdy and durable which will help this fabulous collection last for years to come! I also bought the wooden case to store it. I bought one for my sister's grandson and niece for Christmas as well! Great investment!

Yes, I would recommend this product.
